Juli 21, 2018
History of Android. Android is a Linux-based operating system designed for touch-screen mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet computers. Android was originally developed by a company called Android, Inc., with financial support coming from Google, which Google later bought it in 2005. The android operating system was officially released in 2007, along with the establishment of an Open Handset Alliance company, a consortium from some hardware, software, and telecommunication companies that have the goal of advancing open standards of mobile devices. The first Android-based operating system was sold in October 2008.

Android history originally came from a company called Android, Inc. was founded in Palo Alto, California, in October 2003 by Andy Rubin (founder of Danger), Rich Miner, founder of Wildfire Communications, Inc., Nick Sears a former T-Mobile VP, and Chris White, head of WebTV interface design and development for developing a "smart mobile device that is more aware of its location and user preferences".

The initial goal of the development was originally for digital cameras, but it was realized that the market from digital cameras was not great potential, and Android's development was shifted to the smartphone or smartphone market to compete with Symbian and Windows Mobile (Apple iPhone was not released yet). Although the Android developers are experienced technology experts, Android Inc. run secretly and only revealed that the developers are trying to create a software that can be destined for mobile phones. Still in the same year, Andy Rubin ran out of money. Steve Perlman is a close friend of Andy Rubin and lends him $ 10,000 in cash and refuses a stock offer in the company.

Google acquired the company Android Inc. on August 17, 2005 and make it as a subsidiary owned by Google. Founder of Android Inc. namely Rubin, Miner, and White still work on the company after being acquired by Google. At Google, a team led by Andy Rubin began to develop a mobile device platform using the Linux kernel.
